Founded in 2008, Galerie Olivier Castellano offers tribal art sculptures from old collections, rigorously selected for both their age and their plastic qualities.
The gallery is located at 34 rue Mazarine, in the heart of Paris's primitive arts district.
Olivier Castellano is a member of CNE (Compagnie Nationale des Experts).
The gallery participates in art fairs, such as Parcours des Mondes, Paris Tribal and Civilisations.
We also collaborate with renowned museums and institutions across Europe and the US.
As Werner Schmalenbach so aptly put it "the essence of art lies in the encounter between form and expression, one cannot exist without the other."
To these two necessary qualities, tribal art adds a third: the signs of ritual use, inscribed over time in the depths of the material; the patina of use that gives tribal sculptures such a special soul.
It is the combination of these three qualities that makes a great work of tribal art.
